XFS Configuration for Plume
XFS is XFree86's font server. It is able to serve fonts on UNIX-domain sockets, and on TCP/IP if asked gently. Off course, we want to connect through TCP/IP from the stations.
It's configuration file on Debian GNU/Linux Woody, is /etc/X11/fs/config.
Let's see what we modify and why:- client-limit = 32 to allow more than the 10 simultaneous connections default, adapt to your needs
- we comment out no-listen = tcp because we want our stations (the X servers, actually) to be able to connect to it using TCP/IP
- modify the font path to match exactly the fonts you have available on your system
